The little-known Berry gastronomy has indeed many delights on offer!

Our Region is a collection of various lands. Perfect for the grazing of lamb and goats, it also yields mushrooms, game and fresh water fish.

Berrichon lamb is amongst the best in France. Goats’ milk is used in cheese, each local cheese taking its name from the village it’s made in. We serve French country food commonly called « Cuisine du Terroir » . Our products are local and we cook what mother nature provides us with at the rhythm of the seasons… from heartwarming stews to homegrown  courgette soup or gratin, filet mignon with our neighbor’s honey , coulis made with  our raspberries served with lamb or hot cakes ….

Choice of goat& cow cheeses, farm eggs, homemade jams, honeys, vegetables & fruits in season, fresh juices, locally produced oils –nuts, chestnuts, smoked fish from La Brenne, meat from local farms as available, Croquets, lentils, potatoes or cheese galette, macaroons de Montmorillon, pain d’épices, safran, andouillette de Belâbre, pâtés and terrines, Vladimir d’Argenton sur Creuse, poirat …& also yoghurts de la Gartempe, broyer du Poitou… all producers within a 20-mile range.
